GET READY TO RULE THE SCHOOL

August 1st - 4th

4:45pm - 5:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending Kindergarten in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on:

• recognizing and naming basic shapes 
• recognizing and naming numbers 1-10 (in order and out of order) 
• counting to 20
• saying or singing the alphabet
• recognizing both lowercase and uppercase letters 
• identifying colors 
• writing his or her first name 
• sorting items 
• rhyming 
• letter sounds 

GET YOUR CRAY-ON

August 1st - 4th 

4:45pm - 5:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending 1st grade in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on:

• word decoding 
• phonological awareness
• drawing 
• writing letters and words
• classroom participation (listening to others, speaking out loud)
• matching letters to sounds 
• sight words 
• number sense
• addition and subtraction  

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN 

August 8th-11th

4:45pm - 5:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending 2nd grade in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on:

• analyzing who, what, when, where, why, and how regarding a story 
• comparing and contrasting elements of a story 
• basic rules of spoken and written English 
• engaging in class discussions 
• writing 
• adding and subtracting numbers up to 20 
• place value 
• measuring objects
• telling time to the nearest hour 

LIVING THAT 3RD GRADE LIFE 

August 8th-11th 

4:45pm - 5:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending 3rd grade in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on:

• writing about events (beginning, middle, and end) 
• gathering facts about a topic and describing what was learned 
• identifying central message, moral, or lesson of a story (fiction and non-fiction) 
• adding and subtracting numbers up to 100 
• place value
• measuring and estimating 
• solve problems using money 
• solve word problems 

HELLO 4TH GRADE 

August 8th-11th 

5:45pm - 6:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending 4th grade in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on

• understanding and writing about non-fiction, fiction, charts, and maps. 
• participating in discussions
• key components of preparing and giving a class presentation 
• times table up to 12
• solving word problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division 
• fractions 

5TH GRADE ROCKS 

August 8th-11th  

5:45pm - 6:40pm

This camp is for children who will be attending 5th grade in Fall 2022. Throughout the program, the student will work on

• different writing styles (expository, descriptive, persuasive, and narrative) 
• figurative language 
• proper punctuation and parts of speech 
• solving multi-step word problems
• identifying polygons
• adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions 
• comparing and ordering numbers
